History Stuart Crane started DesignWeld in 1996 after spending many years, both at home and abroad, fabricating industrial components including quarry buckets for Caterpillar. This coupled with Stuarts love for transport of the two wheeled variety cumulated in the birth of Warpspeed Racing. Since its inception Warpspeed racing has moved from strength to strength having seen it's position raise from the bottom to consistently being one of the leading teams in their class. This makes our products not only look good, but, truly developed on the track.
